  • ¬∑Art compliments your aesthetic appeal giving it character and warmth, transforming any room into a unique, beautiful and engaging environment.

  • Art intellectually stimulates and energizes environments for employees and visitors and contributes to a sense of place that fosters confidence, comfort, and healing.

  • Art can leave an impression with clients by altering the mood and encouraging an expression of opinions.

  • Art has a direct impact on employee productivity and well-being by reducing stress and increasing creativity.

She currently serves as a board member for the Jack Mabley Developmental Center and advisor for Catholic Charities annual art benefit as well as a member of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Art Institute Associates. Other memberships include: Art Institute Associates, Benjamin Marshall Society, Chicago Botanic Gardens, Landmarks Illinois, Lake Forest Preservation, Lake Forest Open Lands, Old Masters Society/Art Institute, Society for the Arts in Healthcare, and The Arts Club/Chicago. Mary received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.

Mary Michelle Scalise
Vice president

Mary Michelle Scalise joined Art Environments, Inc. almost twenty years ago; she wanted to contribute to the family-owned business with the skills she had learned in the commercial real estate business in both Chicago and Denver. Mary Michelle became extremely familiar with commercial office and retail layouts after leasing spaces for Cushman and Wakefield. Transferring this knowledge to business development and creating art programs for senior living and medical spaces is the layer of design that brings much joy to residents and is a very rewarding part of her job. Mary Michelle also enjoys acting and directing community theatre.
